![]() I extracted the 7 NES games and 2 N64 games succesfully and they all seem to run perfectly fine in an emulator. ![]() Using the hex editor method previously mentioned, I found out that these ROMs are indeed full ROMs. I started to wonder if they put the full ROM data inside the game despite there being a demo timer that exits you back to Brawl. Last but certainly not least, I got to wondering about Super Smash Bros Brawl with its "Masterpieces" section (for anyone who doesn't know it's basically demos for retro games). With help from both this thread and this one I extracted both NES games, a Famicom Disk System BIOS, and NES on GBA ROMs all from Animal Crossing. I tried the last method of extraction for the NES games on the Animal Crossing (GameCube) disc but found that the code was compressed via Yaz0. As I was looking up other methods, I found this thread which talks about using a hex editor to extract ROMs which I succesfully did to extract the two NES games on the LoZ Collection and also used for succesfully extracting Sega Genesis and Game Gear games from the Sonic Mega Collection Plus disc on PS2. Recently, I found this thread in which, closer to the bottom of the page, a user by the name of Axxer details how to extract N64 ROMs from the Legend of Zelda Collector's Edition on the GameCube.Īfter extracting those succesfully myself, it got me curious about doing it to all my other games with classic games on them but it took longer to find out other methods.
